Chapter 1, Page 2
Your name is LUMA LUMBA (but your friends call you Lulu). You are 27 years old. You work in AGRICULTURE and wear a t-shirt that has embroidered on it a DOLPHIN, your spirit animal. Most people would describe you as chill, confident, and fairly optimistic. Your favorite hobby is motivational speaking. You love giving your friends IMPROMPTU PEP TALKS to hype them up, regardless of whether the circumstances call for it. Anyone needs a pep talk? Say no more, you’ll be there!
You also have a TERRIBLE ATTENTION SPAN that causes you to zone out unexpectedly during many conversations. And the worst part is, whatever your mind chooses to focus on might not be particularly important. Sometimes you’ll be in the middle of an essential conversation, and you’ll start thinking about something like… if I were to dye my hair, what color would I dye it? Would I want to really make a statement, or choose something more subtle? Or maybe I could dye it more than one color, but is that too ambitious of a look to pull off? It could be pretty cool though. But I’ve heard certain products can have bad long term effects on your hair, so maybe I just won’t. Why am I even thinking about this when my hair looks great as it is? It’d be different if this were an idea I’d been seriously considering for a while, but really this is just a fun little thought I came up with just now. Hold on, why am I thinking about this at all? Isn’t the guy in front of me showing me how to do my taxes? SHIT! Isn’t that what I should’ve been focusing on?
Taxes. Wallet. Through another disorderly train of thought (so disorderly it would better be described as a “parkour course of thought”), you realize you should check your pockets, and … your wallet is missing! So are your phone, house keys, and chewing gum. No wait, the chewing gum is gone because you finished it. Yes, now more of your memories are starting to return. You opened up the pack of gum and started chewing on the last piece after a stressful day of work. You got home, and a stranger was waiting at your door to talk to you. You started talking with him, and…
FUCK. You zoned out during that conversation too! He was talking about something really important, and you started thinking about when you went to the zoo the other day. I mean, to be fair, some of those animals you saw were really incredible. Like the giraffes. One of your friends who had never seen them before said they almost looked like aliens. And it was cool to see them eat some leaves off of the trees, and then walk back to… NO NO NO NO NO! Why isTHIS what you remember out of that encounter??? Why don’t you remember the actual things the stranger said to you that led you to wake up on this mountain??
Wait, you do remember one more thing. Every time you finish zoning out during a conversation, you always have to make the difficult decision of whether to pretend you heard what the other person said (even though you didn’t), or to admit you didn’t hear them and ask them to repeat themselves (even though it makes things awkward). Fortunately, this time you chose the latter, you’re sure of it. So even if you zoned out initially, you definitely heard later on whatever that person wanted to say.
But why can’t you remember it now? Somehow you’re sure that it was an important conversation and that you were paying full attention, and under those two conditions, there’s no reason you wouldn’t remember! Unless… your memories were tampered with somehow? Did someone erase your memories before leaving you here on this mountain? It’s a lot to process. You probably need more information to figure out what really happened.
So, what will you do next?

LuLu should give herself a pep talk and then use her agricultural experience to try to figure out what mountain she’s on.
